We are so pleased to announce that Architect Peter Hogg and Professor in Urban Planning David Nichols will present their July 2024 conference paper on the City Gardens Housing Project. The City Gardens estate
was designed and built on the site between Haines and Abbotsford Street in North Melbourne 50 years ago by Peter McIntyre’s office.

The City Gardens Housing Estate is an iconic modernist project, with the architectural design focused on fostering a strong sense of community amidst peaceful gardens and greenery. This presentation is a must for any North Melbourne residents interested in architecture, urban planning and how meaningful design shapes our community.
